Description | Art class drawing from a live model, circa 1904. Art classes served as an effective bridge between various disciplines. While drawing from a live model dressed as a Viking, students learned lessons about the history of costumes and the science of weapons. Ceramics provided a demonstration of delicate scientific principle; the sense of discovery was never more profound than when students unloaded the kiln. |
